Founded in 2004 as a project of the Media Communications Association International, New York Chapter, in cooperation with the United Nations and The New School, the Stories from the Field film festival mounted three annual events before disbanding in 2008.

With its archive of festival documents and film clips, this site provides a retrospective of the 2005, 2006, and 2007 production for friends and alumni to enjoy.
