Coppertalk (blog)
PROJECT: Concept, creative consultation, editorial content, and admin | coppertalk.org
The Copper Development Association wanted to leverage their tremendous body of knowledge about element 29 — Cu, known more commonly as copper — and use the power of social media to invigorate their conversation with the copper industry, the medical community, and the public. The Coppertalk blog, along with @coppertalk, the Twitter page I created for them around the same time, gave this respected trade association the means to make that happen. Adrian Forbes, the developer on the project, was a great partner. Copper consumers and experts from many sectors — scientists, health care workers, miners, artists, houseware manufacturers, plumbers, electricians — contribute to the blog. The Twitter feed has many hundreds of followers; and traffic to the main Web site continues to grow.
